Mo’s Corvette Site

History

A Supercharged 396 with a T-trim Vortech Supercharger the motor was producing 10 pounds of boost at 5500 RPM’s

With the extreme California emissions standards, it was difficult to keep this car in a position to meet the changing emission laws.

Brakes

The brakes are EBC Red brakes with the dimpled rotors, and stop on a dime!

Coilovers

The coilovers are QA1 adjustable shocks to set the ride height and allow spring rates to easily be changed

396 Stroker

The 396  small block normally aspirated was about 425 hp. out of the box.

What’s new with the 1996 Electric Corvette?

A new Netgain  11HV is installed.

After two years of flawless driving with the 1996 Electric Corvette, I decided that it was time to amp up the car’s performance and ordered a Netgain 11HV  11.5” motor to replace my 9” ADC FB1-4001A motor. With the battery and controller combination it was strikingly clear that the motor just was not up to delivering the desired punch i was looking for.

I had thought about going with a two motor design and felt that the machining cost and frame modifications were a bit too aggressive for what I was looking to do.

So I ordered up the motor with the anticipation of having an aggressive battery powered street machine. The motor is capable of a peak 540 Electric HP considering my battery pack I am expecting at least 325 HP, with at least 600 ft/lbs of torque at 0 to about 1600 rpm’s....

Stay tuned-
